The TalkTools® Bite Tube - Yellow help you teach chewing, biting and normalization of oral habits, essential oral motor skills needed in an OPT program. The Bite Tube - Yellow is a therapy tool designed to promote jaw strength in oral motor exercises. It is integrated in a hierarchy with other tools in the Bite Tube Set and in numerous exercises described in “Assessment and Treatment of the Jaw - Putting It All Together: Sensory, Feeding and Speech.”
Goals
As a part of an Oral Placement Therapy program for speech, or a pre-feeding program the Bite Tube can help:
- Provide oral sensory input.
- Support safe biting and chewing.
- Increase jaw strength.
- Improve a rotary chew, when using Overland’s Chewing Hierarchy.
- Stimulate tongue lateralization.

Care Instructions
- Before first use, clean thoroughly with soap and water. For long lasting performance, promptly clean the product after each use. Dishwasher safe and autoclave safe. Avoid harsh abrasives.
- Use with adult supervision. Inspect products before every use, and dispose of them properly at the first sign of damage or deterioration.
