Carpets must be vacuumed before steam cleaning. Regular cleans include vacuuming, but for standalone steam cleaning a small extra fee may apply if we need to vacuum.

Steam cleaning goes deeper than a regular clean, pulling out dirt and dust that’s buried in your carpet fibres. The hot steam doesn’t just clean, it kills germs, allergens, dust mites, and even fungus. It’s also great for tackling stubborn smells (like pet accidents) and can make tough stains look much better, though we can’t guarantee every stain will disappear completely.
What Steam Cleaning Can't Do?
Steam cleaning does an amazing job of refreshing carpets and upholstery, but it isn’t a magic wand. Stains can be tricky while we can usually make them look much better, we can not guarantee stain removal.
A few factors can affect how your carpets respond to steam cleaning, and unfortunately, they’re out of our hands:
• Sunlight fading over time
• Natural wear and ageing of the carpet and its backing
• Stubborn odours that may linger (might require two steam cleaning services)
Carpet steam cleaning usually takes between 4–8 hours to dry, but in some cases it can take up to 24 hours depending on conditions.
• Carpet Thickness & Material: Thicker pile carpets (like plush or wool) hold more moisture and take longer to dry than low‑pile or synthetic carpets.
• Ventilation: Good airflow (open windows, fans, or air conditioning) can cut drying time in half. Poor ventilation can extend it significantly.
• Humidity Levels: In humid weather (common in Melbourne summers), carpets may take closer to 12–24 hours to fully dry. In dry conditions, they may be ready in 4–6 hours.
• Room Size & Foot Traffic: Larger areas or heavy use before carpets are fully dry can slow the process and even re‑soil the fibres.
